Review: When Our Worlds Collide by Kellie Wallace

If you’ve been a fan of this blog for a while, then you know that we cover a LOT of Kellie Wallace’s work.  She’s a multi-genre author, who just happens to encompass all of our favorites.  Her recent work, When Our World’s Collide, is a Dystopian tale with a nice Robin Hood arc (or at least that’s what we thought). Once you read about The Ravens, you’ll understand 😉 148d121f772ba894a932f8d5462c5a2a

Amira’s peaceful city is taken over by a military regime, while it seems that the entire world is fighting in a bigger war.  Resources are thin and in a bid to be a help to her family, Amira accepts a position within the regime. Amira finds herself torn between loyalty to her family and to her beliefs.

This story has good bones and the overall theme is good.  The love story within it left me a teeny bit sour though.  The fellas were not likable by today’s standards at all. I’m not sure what the time period is for this story, but given that Wallace writes about World War 2 frequently, I would imagine it is somewhere in that realm.  The story moved quickly and kept me hooked enough to keep reading and want more! I’m giving it a 4 out of 5 Stars and continue to be a fan of Wallace’s and look forward to seeing more of her work. Dystopian fans and fans of intrigue should enjoy this tome.  It’s dark, so probably not for young teens and definitely not for kids.

Happy Reading!
